Marinated beef sauteed with peppers and onions topped with melted cheese on a baguette, with mixed cheese and horseradish aioli.

High heat is the usual go-to, but it’s also the easiest way to scorch a good meal. You can stand guard over the stove, but you don’t have to. Around here we say “burn & learn” but we’d rather you skip the burning and just enjoy the learning. Your meal was prepped with care—follow the heating steps for the best flavour.

1.Place your potatoes on a parchment-lined baking sheet and in pre-heated oven. Bake 15-20 minutes. In a hurry? Sauté in a pan.

2.Once your oil is hot, add your veggies, cook for 3-5 minutes, then add beef for 3-5 minutes.

3.Add 1 oz of water for each portion and deglaze your pan.

4.Add demi-glace and bring to full simmer for 3-5 minutes.

5.Remove your baking sheet, add cheese on one side of bun. Place on baking sheet and return to oven.

6.Cheese should be melted and buns lightly toasted (3-5 minutes).

7.Remove from oven and slather buns with horseradish aioli, top with your beef, veggies and sauce.
